Here is a custom manual transfer switch for a generator. It was designed to switch power between four different sources to a central output. It is a four position switch with three poles. The busbars are solid copper, just over 1/4" thick and ~1.5" wide so it should be able to handle 500 amps pretty easily. The isolator plates are 1/2" thick G10 epoxy fiberglass. It was originally used with generator sources at about 7 kV, but we are unsure of maximum rated voltage.
