These are used on Hawkens, Mountain Rifles and others that have the screw go through the under rib and into the barrel. Some of the screws I have are in the white. It will fit some Ramrod thimbles that attach with the screw coming down from the top, through the under rib. This would be like the one found on the Hawken, Mountain rifle or others.
