Cyril Gorainoff came to America from Russia and met a Czechoslovakian ceramicist named Frank Vosmansky. The pair opened a shop on Madison Avenue in the 1920s. In the 1930s they made a deal with Abercrombie and Fitch to use their famous line of hunting scenes, dogs, and birds.
