We enjoy working with decoupage techniques and find that it works well for mason jars to create personalized home accents and decor. We offer 3 variations: #1 features a garland of candy canes with mini holly garland at top and bottom. #2 is a showy display of holly leaves and berries accented with gold metallic swirls--grosgrain ribbon with holly pattern and "Merry Christmas" finish the top. #3 is awash with gold and silver snowflakes along with "Merry and Bright" wish--finished at the top with wired silver snowflake ribbon and also a really pretty garland of white snowflakes. Jars are hand painted with chalk paint, then decoupage technique is used, and finally 3 coats of varnish sealer are applied. Ribbon embellishment is added, however, the ribbon is not glued on so it may simply be popped off--jar rim is painted and sealed in keeping with the rest of the jar. Jars may be wiped with a damp cloth but should not be washed or put in dishwasher. Frequently, we like to use different style napkins on a jar to create our own "scenes" as well as cutting out flowers and items separately to apply ( we feel the design "pops" up against the background) such as seen in both of these jars.
