Here is a vintage fiberglass or plastic hard hat from the Mining Safety Appliances company of Pittsburg. The label inside has a patent date from 1933 so it's likely depression era, I think it says size 7 1/2 but doesn't have any inner bands to set on the head though it has a ring of holes along the bottom to attach something. It's brown on the inside, the outside is more black but it looks like greens, reds, whites are showing up in use marks all across it, painted black maybe by the original company, not sure. It's about 10.5 inches across and 12.25 inches long on the brim.
