Check the listing for details. Early 1900s Talibong Blade W/scabbard. Color: Brown, Condition: Used. Listed at 75.00 USD. This was brought back by the grandfather of a great friend of mine who was in the service years unknown but can speculate around the 50s and 60s. He came back with two this is the smaller one, me being a knife guy I dont want to let them go... The talibong originated in the Visayas region of the Philippines, with strong historical roots in Panay Island—particularly in Iloilo and Antique provinces—as well as Negros and Aklan. This traditional single-edged sword or large knife was used by indigenous Visayan groups for hunting, farming, and combat, often featuring a distinct exaggerated belly.
