This uncirculated 10 Pounds Egyptian note is a replacement banknote issued by the Central Bank of Egypt. It is a violet, brown, red, and yellow note that is dated 2004-2012, bears the signature of Farouk Abd El Baky El Okda, and measures 150 x 70 mm. Its obverse side features the exterior of the Al-Rifa’i Mosque in Cairo and the Eye of Horus as a registration device. Its reverse side shows a diorite statue of King Chephren (Khafre) with the God Horus (a hawk) and the Eye of Horus. Security features include a 3-mm wide windowed thread at left center, with demetalized 10 and TEN POUNDS in Arabic text, and a watermark of King Khafre and an electrotype 10.
