Check the listing for details. ERROR 1995 India 5 Rupees - Asymmetrical obverse split die & free standing IDB. Listed at 94.99 USD. This is a 1995 Indian Five Rupees with an asymmetrical obverse split die. This error also shows a free standing IDB (interior die break) at the bottom pedestal of the Ashoka Lion. Opposite the IDB on the reverse is the absence and corresponding weakness of the letters RUPEES. One other observation can been seen. The obverse die face has sunken due to the split and the IDB which explains why the letters of INDIA are weak or absent. Asymmetrical split dies in my experience are far rarer to encounter. The more familiar and traditionally seen split dies are symmetrical (also rare) on any denomination and country. As with all my listings (unless otherwise noted), the coin/s you see is/are the coin/s you get.No international shipping.Shipping policy:1.
