The front and back design of the note are marked with the word "SPECIMEN" in red overprint. Its obverse side features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, a Manusa bird with flowers, a domodomo as a registration device, an embossed patch, and the national emblem. Its reverse side features the Reserve Bank of Fiji headquarters building and the Parliament House with a palm tree in Suva. The domodomo and flowers are printed on the lower right. The note has a dimension of 156 x 67 mm and is equipped with a windowed security thread and a Fijian head watermark to enhance its security features.
