For sale is a fun 19th C Dutch or Hanau Germany “antique” style silver sifter /strainer spoon with a cast dolphin handle. The piece is 7 1/4 inches long and weighs 94 grams. It appears to be all cast. The pierced bowl is 2 ¾ inches wide, with a floral scroll border and a figure of “Justice” in the center. The handle is set perpendicular to the bowl, with a dolphin bowl attachment and a cherub in a scrolled loop. It has not been monogrammed. The only mark is a face in profile with a funny conical hat, stamped on one side of the bowl. I can not find any other marks, but the piece looks like a typical Dutch “antique” silver fantasy server. Condition on the sifter is good. There is just normal wear from use. A fine piece of old Dutch silver!
