In 1950 Air Trails published this design by the renowned S. Calhoun Smith called the FLYING GAZOOKUS. It is a 36" semi-scale model of the parasol wing PIETENPOL homebuilt of the 1920s and 30s. The model is a free flight & will make an outstanding 2-channel RC for builders. What a great electric powered RC model this would make. With its high wing dihedral it will roll out level after a steep turn, making it ideal for 2 or even 3 channels. And with little Trexler balloon tires what a thrilling touch-and-go model it will be. I include a complete copy of the original Air Trails construction article. As a BONUS I include a nice bio of modeling legend S. Calhoun Smith.
