The backstrap does not use a pin like typical Glock backstraps do. It is attached by friction and tape which has been found to be more than reliable. It will come with tape included, feel free to use whatever you would like. However, the thicker foam tapes will add thickness that may result in increased distance between the grip and backstrap. The backstrap can easily be removed and reinstalled. When installing the backstrap, simply swab the frame with alcohol. Warm up both surfaces with a hairdryer, and press. This does NOT alter the function or mechanical design in any way. If it fails or comes off (which is very unlikely), the weapon is still fully operational.
