Squeeze the back of the rivet, which is more like a paper fastener and is totally reusable. You just pinch the ends in (with small pliers) and the separate them with a small screwdriver to re-attach. Most times the lining will just re-attach being the glue usually stays tacky, otherwise you can use a little contact cement or really any glue to reattach it. Your case will look like new, and no one will every know there was a broken latch. This latch has 5 attachment holes, one is hidden behind the movable latch part.
