Engraved in brushed satin solid nickel silver, it comes with one line engraved. For a saddle plate, choose brads (no charge) OR round head Phillips screws ($1.95 extra) to use on the back of the cantle, (usually the saddle owner's name). For a bridle or brow plate, choose rivets. For a small halter plate, choose rivets or Chicago screws, see #2 above for extra charge. (All extras will be invoiced separately via Paypal.) Our nickel silver is the finest quality available for engraving, and is finished with a baked-on synthetic resin, that will not tarnish or rust. It is extremely sturdy and creates an elegant finish to a saddle, bridle or small halter. We rotary diamond engrave the name into the metal six times, to create a very durable engraving, much more so than just diamond etching or laser engraving, that has a tendency to rub off. The exposed raw metal is then double acid oxidized to produce the darkened image. Can also be used for Pets and ID tags, (to be mounted with rivets).
