Handmade Marking Knife This custom made Marking knife is made from a stunningly beautiful piece of stabilized Curly Maple. The blades are made from AISI 420 corrosion resistant stainless steel and hardened and tempered to HRC 57. The blades are 1-7/8 inches long, 1/2 inch wide and are 0.060" inch thick. These marking knives have a dual-bevel spear point tip. The tips are ground to 55 degrees with a 25-degree grind on both bevels. The bevels are precision ground on CNC machines. The laser cut finger indents are useful for applying pressure closer to the tip. These marking knives are the perfect tool to make marks in narrow recesses such as when transferring pins/tails marks during dovetailing. *These marking knives can be laser engraved with custom markings*
