This rare coin is an 1847 Large Cent from Hawaii, graded as PCGS AU Details but it is our opinion the grading service was particularly harsh with the corrosion disclaimer. Upon very close inspection, we do not see evidence of this, and we believe the coin is technically uncirculated. In any event, corrosion removal or not, this is a fabulous example of this very rare coin. The piece is composed of copper and It is a virtually uncirculated business strike due to its superior PQ quality, with a mintage of 100,000 and certified by PCGS. The coin has a stunning appearance and looking like it is full uncirculated and as mentioned above, is under-graded in our opinion. A valuable and unique addition to any coin collection.
