The second pictureillustrates the translucence of the dial which matches the original. I have invested in expensive dies so they are cut perfectly and screened in a sophisticated process. The dial lets light through just like it is supposed to. The old dials and windows yellowed and became very brittle and cracked. The new dial is made of modern materials that can be washed will not yellow or crack. I have many other hard to find items for Heathkit Amateur Gear, Click "see other items"to check them out. Note: they came with a thin blue film on them. Remove it as it is only there for protection and will not give you the regular OEM translucent color. My listing says that I ship within 4 days.
