Heathkit VTVM Battery Leakage Repair Kit If you have a Heathkit VTVM that has suffered from the battery leaking, this kit will allow you replace your battery hardware and get your VTVM working again. This kit contains a stainless steel battery spring, solder lug, 3 fiber shoulder washers, 2 6-32 screws, 2 6-32 nuts, and two #6 lockwashers. We have found a source for the fiber shoulder washer (the most important part) and a stainless steel spring that works very well. The kit includes instructions for both types of Heathkit VTVM's going all the way back to the model V-7. We have repaired several VTVM's that were considered 'not repairable' due to the batteries leaking. This kit works very well. The first picture shows the contents of the kit.
