It is a red note that is dated 1985 ND, bears the signature of R.N Malhotra, and measures 107 x 63 mm. Its obverse side features the lion capital of Ashoka pillar. Its reverse side shows the language panel, a Bengal tiger standing in a field with trees and mountains and a RBI seal with a tiger and palm tree. Though there is no security thread, there is still a watermark of wheels and lion capital of Ashoka pillar, denomination 2, and vertical RBI.
