This uncirculated 1,000 Indonesian rupiah note was introduced in 2016 and signed by Agus Dermawan Wintarto Martowardojo and Mrs. Sri Mulyani Indrawati. It is a green, orange, purple, and red note that is part of the National Heroes series issued by Bank Indonesia. Its obverse side honors the anti-colonialist leader Tjut Meutia with the map and the coat of arms of Indonesia in the background. Its reverse side shows a view of Fort Belgica in Banda Neira, the Banda Islands (Spice Islands) in Maluku province, an orchid flower, and a Tari Tifa (dancer with drum).
