John Lees Hannya Katana John Lees Hannya Katana This masterpiece of Asian forging is a true treasure of craftsmanship. The blades of the swords are hand-forged in 1095 carbon steel, which gives them great quality and resistance. In addition, the sharp blades have been hardened differently in the traditional type thanks to the application of clay, resulting in an original Hamon in its line. With a hardness of 60 HRC ha and 40 HRC mune, these swords are exceptionally strong and tough. The wooden handles (Tsuka) have been completed with original stingray leather (Same) and black cotton wraps have been applied in the traditional way (Tsuka-Ito). Two Menukis have been placed on the handles for a touch of elegance and detail. The ends of the handles are particularly long and are fastened to the handle with 2 bamboo pins (Mekugi), which guarantees their safety and durability. In addition, the wooden sheaths (Saya) add an extra touch of elegance and protection for these precious swords. The manufacture of these swords follows historical examples, which makes them even more valuable and authentic.
