The blade of the Mizutori is made of high quality 1095 carbon steel and has been differentially hardened with clay, creating a hardening line (hamon). This beautiful leaf was stripped by hand and has a Hamaguri cut. Both sides of the sheet and the back of the sheet have been polished to a high gloss.
