Listed at 105.00 USD. the graceful leaf form tea caddy just a lovely item that has survived a long time. perfectly engineered balance. maker/marks «sterling» marked with an incomplete Ⓛ, for american silversmiths lebkuecher & co of newark, new jersey. about operational from 1896–1918. newark, nj. founded by arthur e lebkuecher, frank a lebkuecher and charles c wientge. during the period 1912–18, company went by the name «francis a lebkuecher & co». they were then acquired by the eleder co in 1918. by 1922 it had become the «eleder-hickok co», although they continued to use the lebkuecher mark. eleder-hickok subsequently merged with matthews co to become «hickok-matthews co», makers of sterling holloware and novelties.
