This 5,000 Malagasy ariary banknote is part of the 2017 series of banknotes that have tactile geometric patterns for the sight-impaired and a theme of Madagascar and Its Riches. It is in uncirculated condition. Its obverse side contains Malagasy text, a flower printed with optically-variable ink, and a birds eye view of the waterfall in Ranomafana Park. Its reverse side depicts the tail of a humpback whale peeking out near the shoreline.
