This uncirculated 50 ringgit Malaysia note is a commemorative banknote issued by the Central Bank of Malaysia to celebrate the XVI Commonwealth Games. It is a purple polymer note that is dated 1998, bears the signature of Ahmad bin Mohd Don, and measures 152 x 76 mm. Its obverse side features a holographic patch, the Kuala Lumpur city skyline, a butterfly, the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) runways, and His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong. Its reverse side shows the logo of the Kuala Lumpur '98 XVI Commonwealth Games and the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil. Though there is no security thread, there is still a watermark of a butterfly.
