Due to its ample diffusion it is extremely variable, stem is narrow and columnar, up to 8 inch tall and 4-5 inch broad. Without latex and short conical tubercles with moderately woolly or densely woolly. Spines are brown-yellow or greyish, needle-like, straight, up to 1/2 inch long.
