Maximum Wind Direction Sensor & Vane (Maestro) This is the five-terminal, red-tail vane for the Maestro display. These are also the vanes for the GustMaster display -- the predecessor to the Merlin. These will not work for the Merlin. The picture is representative. Some are like-new, others are as pictured. All have a Vaseline coating on the terminals. We coat the wiring and terminals in Vaseline to prevent corrosion in marine environments. "Your top, my bottom": we have one vane with a cracked tail. We've glued it back together and it will work just fine. However, if your vane is missing a direction (or two), you can use your top on our bottom. The top is secured by the two philips screws you see in the picture. Loosen the screws and put your top on our bottom. Now you are good as new at a fraction of the price.
