The coin has a copper-nickel center and a brass outer ring. Its obverse side bears the Mexican coat of arms: a Mexican golden eagle perched on a prickly pear cactus while devouring a snake. Its reverse side contains the bracelet worn during the activation of Plan DN-III-E, with two emblems that represent the army and the air force. The coin weighs 15 g and has a diameter of 32 mm.
