Check the listing for details. Mid 1800s German violin with Lions Head scroll. Listed at 500.00 USD. This is a vintage 1800s violin that has a lion's head scroll that was grafted on at some point. There is no maker label or identifiable markings inside the violin other than a few labels. One is a repair label that says "Repaired by Carl O Wade 1887 Sioux Falls, S.D." Many repairs that have been done on this instrument. There's a very large sound post patch on the back. When I received the violin it was strung up and playable, but upon inspection I noticed the button was out of place. I then noticed unfortunately the lower block is cracked. It needs a restoration. The wood on the back and neck are highly flamed. Comes with a case, tailpiece, and bridge. Strings and bow not included. Taking offers and open to hearing more info if anyone knows anything about this violin.
