The MORTone JoSonic JS1B electric banjo conversion uses our JS1 JoSonic Device in place of the standard drum head.The JS1 JoSonic Device converts the banjo into a hard top electric using our hardtail electric banjo bridge, ball end electric guitar strings, and magnetic pickup based electronics.The result is a purely electric tone that eliminates the sound of the drum head, increases string sustain, and expands the sonic possibilities.Equipped with a single coil pickup, volume control, and tone control, the JoSonic JS1B electric banjo is ready to be plugged into outboard effects and/or external amplification via the 1/4” output jack.The converted banjo is an Ashthorpe with 26.5” scale length, completely setup for optimum action and playability including fret leveling and dressing.
