Italian Solid Silver Sugar Bowl with Hand-Hammered Finnish Marked Naples 800 fine c1800 Presented is a beautiful Neo-classic raised silver sugar bowl with hallmarks for silver made in Naples Italy c1800. This great lidded sugar bowl has a high Hand-hammered finish with a raised base beneath a gadroon motif basin bowl with a delicate insert flat rimed edge lid. This great sugar bowl is marked for silver made in Naples, Italy c1800 of 800 fine silver on both lid and bowl. American Standard Sterling silver is 925, so there is slightly less silver in this alloy. It is in lovely condition with only some pin-prick dings, some excess cast marks; most notably around mark in base and in visible in interior of bowl, no monogram and some fine scratches from gentle use and care. It is a stunning piece great for display or everyday use and an excellent find for the Antique silver collector.
