Its obverse features King Gyanendra wearing a royal dress and a plumed crown. It also shows the Garud Narayan of Changu Narayan temple and the obverse of a coin. The reverse depicts three black bucks with trees in the background. The reverse also shows the bank logo and the coat of arms of Nepal. The banknote contains a simulated windowed security thread with demetallized NRB. Its watermark reveals a plumed crown. It is 133 x 70 mm in size and is signed by Governor Bijaya Nath Bhattarai.
