It is an orange and brown note that bears the signature of Satyendra Pyara Shrestha, has a segmented foil over the security thread, and has a 20-mm long serial number. Its obverse side features a portrait of King Birendra, the temple of Krishna of Patan, a Garuda, and an obverse of a coin. Its reverse side shows a swamp deer, the bank logo, and the national coat of arms. Security features include a 1.2-mm wide windowed security thread with demetalized NRB and a plumed crown watermark.
