Originals are highly sought after and impossible to find. The mold was made from an original stem. Made of aluminum like the original, and is polished, like the original. Aluminum alloy 356, heat treated to T6. Correct stem for many CWC built bikes from 1937-1938. As mentioned, these are aluminum, and I had them polished. I asked the polisher not to go overboard with the polishing as not to make them too shiny. These look great on a restored bike, but would look great on an original bike as well with a little scuffing, or chemically treat to "age" it a bit. The exploded pictures accentuate the flaws that the eye won't necessarily see.
