It can measure the OD, ID and depth and steps of a part. It also has a locking screw on top of the slider to lock the head into place and has a thumb wheel for ease of movement. The caliper reads in .001" graduations and the range per revolution is .100" and comes in a fitted plastic case! The stainless steel construction will give you many years of use.
