We got this item from a state surplus equipment auction which included equipment from a watershed district that had stopped collecting weather data on it's own. This unit sends data VIA a cell phone in the unit. (probably) This device was part of a system that collected weather data and then phoned it in to the master collector. This stuff is “over the heads” of a couple old junk dealers. It has been declared obsolete. Maybe they can be used for other systems.
