Once you register the machine and transfer the account using the Ethernet cable, you can install the unit using a laptop and make it work with your WI-fi and without an Ethernet cable. You then can place the unit anywhere you Wi-Fi router works. In addition if you have a blue tooth head phone, you can use it directly with out going the extra expense of another box. I am including: P/S transformer, dongle, and a hook up cable. Instructions are on the internet under Ooma. I do not need this unit since I closing the account.
