Check the listing for details. orig./Rare!! 1950 EUGENE LARKS **Vintage Baseball Program** Far West League. Listed at 149.97 USD. >Offered here is an old and original 1950 EUGENE-SPRINGFIELD LARKS minor league baseball program!! Please see all five photos, as they are an important part of my description. This rare vintage baseball program measures approximately 10" x 7" and contains sixteen (16) numbered pages, including both covers. Classic Larks' logo on the program's front cover shows the bird perched on the "L". The program was originally issued as a "concession stand" baseball souvenir here in Eugene, Oregon at small-venue Bethel Park where the Eugene Larks called home (the Larks only averaged 669 fans per game during this 1950 season). I do not believe the Larks had any Major League Baseball team affiliation. All Eugene Larks memorabilia is very rare, as the team was only in existence for the 1950 and 1951 seasons; after their demise, the Eugene Emeralds team was born in 1955 and still exists to this day. The 1950 Eugene-Springfield Larks were a member of the old Far West League; they compiled a 62-77 record, good for sixth place. There are only two (2) photographs inside the program: Lou Vezelich (player/manager), and Arthur Hadler (Larks president). The program is filled with Eugene, Oregon vintage advertising. The box score at the centerfold is vacant and never scored; there is no Larks' opponent listed. The Lark's roster is included, though by last name only. Vezilich led all qualifying hitters on the roster with a .348 average. Pitcher Dick Waibel recorded a 2.69 ERA. There is a "DiMaggio" listed on the Larks' roster, who I believe to be Vince DiMaggio. My final photo shows a still-intact coupon on the inside of the back cover, which fans could have clipped out for a chance to win "free merchandise" during June, July and August games during the 1950 season (the only mention of the program's year-of-issue). Condition: the program exhibits light-moderate age/handling faults, to include slightly tarnished binding staples, a couple of teeny-tiny edge tears on the covers and other misc. handling wear (nothing major!). The binding is solid!
