Original Willard The Wizard Green Printers Block/MatBefore computers and scanners promotional material was supplied to newspapers in the form of printer’s blocks or more common these types of cardboard/plastic plates called “Mats.” These mats were used to pour molten metal into them to make printing plates.This is an original and unused Willard The Wizard green promotional mat which states “Original Willard The Wizard And Company, The delightful Mystic.” It looks like it may be a miniature of one of his posters. It was likely made in the 1950s or earlier.It is around 4-inches long and 3-inches wide. Although the print is bold and readable the photograph is less so because of the medium. -
