The base shows little signs of use but we are not the original owners and can only assume it has been used. All the lock down knobs function as they should and the on/off magnet switch functioned but it is loose and we made sure to flip it holding the lower portion because it is stiff and hard to switch. Please study photos as they are part of the description. The item alone weighs over three pounds and with packing materials and a study box it will be close to four pounds.
