This listing is for a stunning pair of vintage Sterling Silver candlesticks made by the International Silver Company in the PRELUDE pattern, c.1940's. The candlesticks have a classic elegant design with embossed floral band on the top edge and around the base. The candlesticks are convertible from 5" candlesticks to the 10 3/4" candlesticks as shown. Marked on the base with the International trademark stamp and "Prelude, International, Sterling, Weighted Reinforced, N 324". Measure 7 1/2" high with a top diameter of 2" and base diameter of 3 1/2". Combined weight is 770 grams or 3.6 pounds. The candlesticks have a great appearance although one candlestick has evidently been dropped and is slightly bent on one area of the base with the base being slightly out of round. This is barely noticeable when the candlestick is stilling in an upright position but is clearly shown when viewing the bottom. The other candlestick has a slight bent area on the center bottom that does not show from the exterior and does not affect the candlestick in standing straight, etc. Please view all photos.
