It contains a facsimile of a 1921 Peace dollar. One would be hard, pressed to believe that this was not a genuine Peace dollar encased in the pendant. The facsimile is identical in size and design to a genuine Peace dollar. However, I want to reiterate that this is a facsimile of a 1921 Peace dollar. Please see the photos for a comparison of a genuine silver dollar and this facsimile dollar that is encased in the pendant. This is really a beautiful piece. The price is right. Please note that the pendant comes with an 18 inch silver plated chain as shown in the photographs.
