Marked Hausmeister Solingen Made in germany so it is a post war piece but these designs were manufactured since ww1 for the signal/telegraph troops for work on field phones, radios, wires, etc. It appears to be plated possibly nickel plated. The condition is good for its age but shows signs of use and patina. Any other defects should be visible from the pictures and should be reviewed and judged by the buyer before they purchase to avoid any returns or disputes.
