Smooths the indexing of the shell plate. Thoroughly clean your shell plate and shoulder bolt prior to installing bearing. Install this bearing on the shell plate retaining bolt above the shell plate, one bearing race on top and one on bottom of the bearing. Adjust retaining bolt so the plate turns freely (same adjustment as without a bearing). Do not over tighten. Do not grease the bearing. A drop of light lubricant is recommended for the bearing, such as sewing machine oil. If debris enters the bearing stop use and clean with solvent. A small amount of grease may still be applied to the shell plate hole where it contacts the shoulder bolt.
