It's extremely lightweight with a very, very thin sharp blade. It has a sheath, but it's for storage only. This is not a knife you can strap to your belt. It would be great for your kitchen, your RV kitchen, or your backpack, as long as you use it for food preparation, and not whittling wood in front of a "campfire".
