Commonly referred to as Roman Glass, the material for these beads is derived from ancient cups, vases, and perfume containers that have sustained the travails of time. If you look carefully, you will see that these beads have a unique patina endowed by the mineral deposits where the glass lay buried. Each glass piece has been individually drilled and threaded to create a strand. No two strands are alike but you will receive a strand similar to that pictured. Individual rectangular beads measure 9-20 x 8-14mm. There are approximately 18 rectangular beads and 40 spacers on each strand. Some strands may have a roman glass pendant at the bottom fo the strand (not shown in photo). The length of the strand is approximately 28" including string if worn as a necklace or about 15" of beads as shown. Truly something special to use in any jewelry piece.
