An antique Victorian tilting ice water pitcher in stand by Reed & Barton. With the pitcher seated in the stand it measures 19" high and it weighs 11 lbs, 12 oz. It is marked on the base of the stand and reads "Mf'd. Plated by Reed & Barton Pat. Dec. 23, 1869 Pat. Aug. 2, 1870" with a symbol that appears to be Masonic. The bottom of the pitcher is marked "Pat'd. By Jas Stimpson 1854 Extended For Seven years" in the center and "Reed & Barton 01226" below. Under the lid at the lip it is marked and reads "Seamless Lining Patented Nov. 5th, 1867 Reed & Barton." It has a few dings and could use a polishing. It is in very good condition, see photos.
