On the bottom there is a plate indicating a serial # or model # M63601. The number keys work and print on the paper roll once the crank is pulled, although the print type is light so the ribbons need to be replaced or re-inked. The red sub total and total keys wouldn't press down when I tried, so either they are jammed or not working, or something needs to be done to activate them that I'm not aware of. There is a glass window in the center top area just below the Remington logo. It has 9 digits and I'm not sure what activates those numbers, since I didn't notice them moving when the number keys were pressed. An extra black part is included since I think it went with this machine, although I'm not sure where it goes. Nice vintage bookkeeping machine that would look good on display.
