The Russia 500 Rubles Banknote is part of the 1997 issues released by the Bank of Russia with a small vertical Russian text 2010 on the obverse. The banknote has a combination of violet and blue colors. Its obverse depicts the bank seal, the statue of Peter the Great by Mark Antokolski in Taganrog, and a sailing ship in the port of Arkhangelsk. The reverse of the paper bill features a different view of the Solovetsky Monastery on the Solovetsky Islands in the White Sea. The banknote comes with a winged windowed security thread with a demetallized 500. It also bears a watermark that reveals Peter the Great and an electrotype 500. The banknote is 150 x 65 mm in size and is in uncirculated condition.
