Hanweis basket broadbed, replicated from an original in the Collection of Royal Armouries in England, carries a typical Glasgow-style hilt of the mid-eighteenth century. It is likely that the blade of the original sword, marked «Andrea Ferara», was made in Germany a century earlier and re-wielded as basket designs were refined. This reproduction features a handle made of stainless steel to minimize maintenance and a forged sheet in high-carbon steel.
